«For those who think this is fake- YouTube, eagle attacks mountain goat! It probably didn’t want to fly away with her, more just eat her where she stood. Perhaps very very hungry! Or YouTube, eagle attacks dear!»

«My father-in-law and his father owned and ran a large ranch in the Texas panhandle. At the south end of the ranch were some deep canyons. They had a bald eagle that took of couple of their newborn calves so they went and killed the eagle. That had to have been in the 1960's. I asked him about it in the 1980's after my wife told me about it. He was still very hesitant to talk about it because of all of the legal implications. I'm sure a large male bald eagle would struggle with most young children but I would imagine they have attempted it before. There is a breeding pair of bald eagles exactly one mile south of my house. People in this area are always posting on the Ring doorbell app that their kitties or little dogs are missing. I would imagine that a few of them have fed the new eaglets over the last eight or nine years that they have nested there. I know for sure we have coyotes that kill a lot of pets and I've hunted the coyotes in this area.»

«No, eagles are not physically capable of picking up and carrying a child, as their talons are designed for gripping smaller prey and their lift capacity is not sufficient for a child's weight.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Prey Size:
Eagles typically hunt smaller animals like rabbits, fish, and other small mammals, not humans.
Lift Capacity:
While eagles can lift prey that weighs around 10 pounds, a child is far beyond that weight capacity.

«@Medvetz65 In 1941 Finland, it's suspected that an eagle took away a 2 year old girl. Her few years older brother told her parents that big bird took her from the yard. People searched everywhere, including all known eagle nests but couldn't find any trace of her. Experts say it's very unlikely that eagle could snatch a child of that age, but her brothers eyewitness statement and the fact that police couldn't find evidence of any foul play, makes it sound possible.»
