Body-worn camera footage from Baltimore Police Officer Cedric Elleby shows him chasing a 17-year-old in the Southwest Baltimore neighborhood of Shipley Hill, ordering him to drop a weapon and then firing at him several times.

The video begins with Elleby seated on McHenry Street. As two people walk down the sidewalk away from him on the sidewalk, he is shown slowly walking behind them. After Elleby turns toward the two, the 17-year-old, wearing a white shirt, takes off running into an patch of vegetation.

The teen swerves through an alley and turns a corner. In a slowed-down, edited version of the video, an object that police say is a gun is visible in the 17-year-old’s hand. As the teen continues running, still with his back to the officer, Nadeau pauses the video and says the teen is “turning back to the right to look back at the officer” as he is still running away from him.

“Stop, stop, stop,” Elleby can be heard saying on the video, before he tells the teen to put the gun down multiple times and fires. The teen falls onto his left side. After pausing the video, Nadeau pointed out what he said was a weapon on the ground next to the 17-year-old.

The 17-year-old suffered two gunshot wounds, from bullets that entered from the front and back of his body, according to Franklin. She said Tuesday her son was doing well but still in the hospital.
